2.    Students will grasp how to introduce their family in English .

2.    To foster Ss’ abilities of self-study.

To make Ss treasure the family and treasure the life ,love the family and love my country.

1.    To master some key words and useful expressions in the text .

2.    To grasp how to describe someone.

3.    To master the language focus .

1.    To retell the text.

2.    To introduce their family freely.

Teaching Procedure :

Step I . Greetings

Greetings as usual .

Step. Lead in

Play a video about “Family” in CCTV . And get the Ss to talk freely to lead in the new lesson .

Step. Pre-reading .

Show some pictures about family members to the Ss to get them to guess who they are .Help them to learn the calling of family members .

Step. Presentation .

Step 1. Fast reading .

Give the Ss 3 minutes to read the text fast and get a general idea about the text . While reading, show the recorder and text to help them read.

Then answer two simple questions :

1.    How many people in the family ?

2.    Who are they ?

Step 2. Reading completely .

Ask the Ss to read the text again carefully and find out the key words and useful expressions in the text .

Then give them two tasks to check their reading .

1.    Finish the Reading Comprehension .

2.    Write down the words and expressions on the blackboard . Then the teacher explains them to help the Ss master them .

Step. Consolidation .

Step 1. Show the family photo in the text to help the Ss to retell the text .

Step 2. Retelling

Ask the Ss to discuss in pairs.Then retell the text in their own words according to the picture.

Step 3.Check their retelling .

Step 1. The teacher has an activity to ask the Ss to talk about their family freely in groups.

They can discuss these questions :

1. How many people are there in your family?

2. Who are they?

3. Which person do you love best in your family ?

4. What do you want to say to them ?

Step 2. Role play in the front in pairs .

Step 3.Self-summary

Step. Homework .

1. Recite the key words and expressions as many as possible after class.
